L-R: Lee Peek, Doyle Lawson, Brad Laird Doyle is best known as an accomplished mandolin player, vocalist, producer, and leader of the 5-man group Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver. Doyle began his career as a banjo player with Jimmy Martin and the Sunny Mountain Boys. He played mandolin for J.D. Crowe and the Country Gentlemen before launching his own band, Foxfire, which preceded Quicksilver.
