Old Home Place

This song has become the standard of standards. But, it never gets old. The lyrics are really good and chord progression stands out from the usual 2 and 3 chord traditional tunes.

*The Dillards, who first did the song, did it in the key of B if I am not mistaken. Or was that J.D. Crowe and the New South? Oh well, no matter. Most of the time it seems to be played in G or A at parking lot picking sessions. Just see my pages on how to use a capo and how to transpose for more information on converting the chords to other keys like A or B.
