FREE CHORD PROGRESSIONS - by Bradley Laird Bury Me Beneath The Willow This sad song is very popular at bluegrass jam sessions. The heart-wrenching lyrics would bring a tear to a glass eye. *Be ready to play this song in any key which suits the singer. Beware of people who say "x song is IN the key of x" as if it is some eternal truth. The singer should sing the song in the key where they feel they sing it best. Banish the goofy notion that bluegrass songs are supposed to be "high and lonesome" just because Bill Monroe sang that way. Maybe, for you, low and lonesome is better. Don't be a slave to "one key mentality" by learning how to transpose. Download the PDF File: All 100 of the chord progressions from this site are available as a PDF file for printing on 8.5" x 11" pages.
