Soldier's Joy

This old fiddle tune is played in old time circles and blugrass jams.

*This one is always played in D. But, and it seems there is always a "but", as banjo and guitar players often prefer to play it "out of C positions" with their capo stuck behind the 2nd fret producing the key of D sound. As I have said at the bottom of so many of these tunes, see my capo page for details. Maybe Shubb will send me a free, gold plated banjo capo for all the business I am sending his way! Shubb capos are a lot better than a pencil and a strong rubber band. (My first capo.)
